Whether it's renewable energy, solar, wind, smart grid, electric vehicles, even water or any other clean technology, global economic, political and environmental forces are converging to drive the push for energy independence.The Savannah International Clean Energy Conference (SICEC) explored the significance and global impact Energy Independence will have on clean energy, clean technologies, and economic growth. It was a global gathering of the who's who of the clean technology and clean energy industry from across the globe.
With cleantech past the idea and validation stages, the pressure is on for successful technologies to scale in deployment. The clean technology footprint is growing rapidly and the winners are those who are leveraging global opportunities, partnering and using their connections to move beyond their competitors.
The SICEC brought together top influencers and leaders to discuss and debate the most pressing issues and provide timely information on a variety of sectors and best practices. From clean energy to cleantech and global security to sustainable cities, and more, the SICEC featured dynamic interaction among the world's top investors, innovators, corporations, and government agencies. The conference culminated in the Global Cleantech Cluster Association Later Stage Awards Gala and Dinner, where companies in 10 categories from across the globe competed to be named the Best of Cleantech.
